Sub: Post Graduate Certificate in English Communication (PGCEC) – Admission –
Notification - Reg.

Centre for English Language and Communication Skills (CELCS), Mahatma Gandhi University,
Priyadarshini Hills, Kottayam: 686 560, invites applications for its Post Graduate Certificate in
English Communication (PGCEC) course from graduates of any discipline interested in
developing their communication skills in the English language.
The course, which will commence by the end of October 2011, will be a full-time course of eight
weeks duration, 5 days a week. Student intake is restricted to 20. Graduates of any discipline
from any recognized Indian or foreign university are eligible to apply. Rank list will be prepared
on the basis of the percentage of marks obtained in English at the +2 level or equivalent
examination. University rules regarding reservation will be followed. The course fee is
Rs.4,000.00. (SC/ST Rs.2,000.00)
Application forms may be had either from Centre for English Language and Communication
Skills (CELCS) office at Gandhi Bhavan, Mahatma Gandhi University campus on payment of
Rs.100/-per form or may be downloaded from the University website www.mgu.ac.in .
Applications requested for by post should be accompanied by a Demand Draft for Rs.100/- drawn
in favour of the Coordinator, Centre for English Language and Communication Skills (CELCS),
Mahatma Gandhi University payable at SBT, MGU campus branch and a self-addressed stamped
(Rs.5/-) envelope.
The last date for receipt of completed applications is 30.09.2011
